On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the 1970 double album 'Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs', the original album was edited by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios as a Half Speed Master and provided with an authentication certificate.
Layla has often been regarded as Eric Clapton's greatest musical achievement. The album is best known for its title song "Layla", which was successful in the UK in the top ten single charts. There are also other 2LPs with bonus material, some of which have been unreleased on vinyl. All bonus material on LP3 & LP4 is mastered normally (i.e. not mastered at half speed). The release includes a 12×12 book with liner notes on the cover, taken from the 40th anniversary issue.
