Hörprobe Track 6: Do what you like (Live At Gothenburg, Sweden 18th June 1969, Sveriges Radio)n 7 June 1969 Blind Faith (Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton, Rick Grech, Ginger Baker) gave the first - at their own request expressly admission-free - concert in London's Hyde Park in front of more than 100,000 visitors, through which the band became suddenly known.
That same year, Blind Faith released their only album named after the band, which sold 400,000 copies in its first week of sales. The album reached #1 in both the UK and the US, and stayed in the Top 100 on the US charts for 37 weeks. It is still considered a milestone of progressive British blues-rock in the rock music scene due to its successful synthesis of blues, rock and pop.
This recording is from Götheburg on 18 June 1969 and was broadcast by Swedish radio at the time. The brand new, hand-numbered Deluxe Edition from AVA Editions contains the complete broadcast and a 40-page hardback book with insightful liner notes and many archive images.
