Six years after "Bête Noire" (1987), Ferry released "Taxi" in 1993, his eighth studio album. "Taxi" shows a mature Bryan Ferry, confident and in control, in keeping with his overall career from 1979 onward. The selection of songs he covers holds no surprises - the same selection of classic rock, pop and soul numbers dominate, with an interesting detour here and there like "Amazing Grace."
