With Clique, Patricia Barber follows up her album Nightclub, which was popular with fans and critics alike and featured American standards. The US jazz musician, pianist and composer has made a name for herself among audiophiles with her music between poetry, jazz and art song. Clique is a renewed collection of standards that Barber has previously only played in concert as encores, including titles by Stevie Wonder, Lee Hazlewood and Thelonious Monk. She is accompanied by longtime collaborators Patrick Mulcahy (bass), Jon Deitemyer (drums), Neal Alger (guitar) and Jim Gailloretto (saxophone).
Grammy winner Jim Anderson is responsible for the recording in DXD, and he also did the mixing at Skywalker Sound's studios. Bob Ludwig (Gateway Mastering) is responsible for the mastering. Fans call this album the best Patricia Barber album in terms of sound.

CLIQUE! was cut by Scott Hull at Masterdisk directly from the DXD 352.8 / 32-bit files mastered by Bob Ludwig and supervised by recording/mixing engineer Jim Anderson and Ulrike Schwartz. CLIQUE! offers the same sonic excitement, incredible detail and deep resonance as our Grammy-nominated SACD.
Produced by Stoughton Printing, the gatefold jacket features a large and spacious canvas for the original design and features UV gloss on the front and spot UV embellishments on the inside, photos and two essays about the making of the recording
