The world has been waiting for this for 18 years! The Rolling Stones release with "Hackney Diamonds" their first studio album with completely new original songs since 2005.

Twelve brand new songs will be included in the much anticipated work, all written by the duo Jagger/Richards. A short excerpt of the first single "Angry" has already been played online on a specially created website.

The single and album were produced by Grammy-award winning producer Andrew Watt (Iggy Pop, Ozzy Osbourne, Miley Cyrus). Together with longtime Stones producer Don Was, he is responsible for the sound of "Hackney Diamonds."

The album contains the last recordings of the legendary Charlie Watts, who sat behind the drums with the Rolling Stones from 1963 until his death in 2021. His successor Steve Jordan is known among others from Keith Richards' solo albums. For him, it is the first album of the band, in which he participated.

By the way, "Hackney Diamonds" is the name given to the glass fragments that lie on the street in the notorious London district of Hackney after robberies. The diamonds may, of course, be a reference to the Rolling Stones' 60th anniversary last year.

But "Hackney Diamonds" will convince us that there is no trace of age fatigue in the Rolling Stones. The rock album of the year!
