Published in 1991 - a year before his death - and hopelessly out of print, the rare studio album "Roadhouse Blues" the epochal blues guitarist Albert King seems new to CD. The track listing includes a version of Robert Johnson's classic "Dust My Broom" and a reprise of "Laundromat Blues" (from King's legendary "Born Under A Bad Sign" album) as well as a version of Elvis evergreens "Hound Dog" next to an adaptation of rockabilly standards "Matchbox" (Carl Perkins, was covered by the Beatles, Eric Clapton, Johnny Cash, etc.) and the blues-rocking title track (written by the Doors and appeared on their "Morrison Hotel album") . A long sought-puzzle piece of confusing discography of Albert King, who has been taken posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April 2013.
