"WOODSTOCK 40" 6-CD box and double CD celebrating the anniversary of the most rocking world. More than 38 previously unreleased tracks in the box! Much has been written about the Woodstock Art & Fair as a cultural phenomenon and a philosophy. But what has always a little went down, was the occasion for the gathering of half a million people from 15-17th August 1969: The music! 40th Anniversary of the epoch-making festival now appears Woodstock 40, the most complete collection of musical event Woodstock. With over 77 tracks, including 38 previously unreleased, a 6-CD box set celebrating the big event and presents legendary bands such as The Grateful Dead, Tim Hardin, Jefferson Airplane, The Who, Country Joe & The Fish in the order of their performances. To a deliver authentic document of today the myth has become events, considered the co-producer of the box, Andy Zax, every inch of the original multi-track tapes in search of the best moments of the 33 acts which have made be a historic event for the weekend. "We have approached all the material as if it were a kind of cinéma verité documentation, the draft report of the event," Zax describes the work on the master tapes. In addition to pure music, the set therefore contains a lot of marginal events that accompanied the festival, such as announcements, the patter of the rain, a cameo appearance by Abbie Hoffman and his touching speech by the landowner Max Yasgur, who for the first time in full length is documented. About half of the audio material is previously unpublished and thus available for the first time! More than any other previously released compilation on the subject reaches 40 Woodstock through his scope and strict adherence to the chronology a coherent representation of the performances in real time. The enclosed 80-page booklet of the box also the full track listings of performances are available for the first time. Furthermore, there are numerous photographs, historical information, press reviews and detailed new liner notes. Even the most experienced Woodstock connoisseur will be surprised about the original order of the performances, which by all reports is different from both the writing of traditional as well as of the close down in Michael Wadleighs movie Woodstock, the benefit of the cinematic narrative flow quite took some chronological liberties. Woodstock 40 also appears as a double CD that brings the essence of the box with 21 tracks on two discs to the point. In addition to some already released classics such as Hendrix's explosive Star-Spangled Banner, as well as songs from Santana, Canned Heat, The Who and many others, the double CD contains four previously unreleased tracks from Creedence Clearwater Revival, Tim Hardin, Arlo Guthrie and in recent years again achieved cult status Incredible String Band. With a repertoire that offers a concentrated cross-section through the recent Woodstock publications, namely, Woodstock: Music From The Original Soundtrack, Woodstock Two, 25th Anniversary, etc., the double-CD version is the perfect introduction to the music myth Woodstock. Coinciding with Woodstock 40 are also newly published two standard works that previously were considered significant Woodstock recordings, namely, Woodstock Music From The Original Soundtrack And More, and Woodstock Two. Both albums are remastered by the original tapes and each appear as a double CD with new deluxe booklet, which contains previously unpublished photographs and brand new liner notes. Woodstock first appeared in 1970 as a three-LP soundtrack to the Wadleigh film with 18 tracks, Woodstock Two came as a double album with 16 songs in 1971 and added to the Woodstock Experience.
