In 1972, GRAND FUNK RAILROAD were the epitome of the American rock and roll and filled everywhere in the United States arenas with enthusiastic fans. This straight band from Michigan defined the sound of the former Hard Rock groups from the working class with her exaggerated sound, Mark Farner heavy riffs, the hard bass line from Mel Schacher and the complex, funky drums Don Brewer. The recording of "Live: The 1971 Tour "were made during ecstatic stadium concerts in Chicago, Detroit and New York's Shea. Highlights include the 15-minute ANIMALS Cover "Inside Looking Out", which fills the entire C side, a glowing cover of STONES song "Gimme Shelter" and the Grand Funk classic "Footstompin Music". In addition, this version was never released on vinyl!
