About AudioQuest Music
The blues label AudioQuest Music was founded in the late 1980s and continues today under the name Sledgehammer Blues at Valley Entertainment. Mission of the responsible producer Joe Harley was to produce the best audiophile recordings on the technical level of the time. They used this analog technology with tailored tube electronics and avoided any noise reduction, compression, EQ and limiter. A characteristic feature of the result is the realistic, spontaneous sound of the recordings, which lacks any overproduction. Since it also invited the most talented artists to recordings include the title of AudioQuest Music still one of the most interesting blues recordings that are to have on the audiophile market. For Bernie Grundman SACDs has digitized and mastered the new analog tapes.
