Thievery Corporation, the world-famous duo from Washington DC, released his new album "Saudade". It is the first Thievery Corporation album that is solely dedicated to Brazilian music they originally merged. "Saudade" is a specific form of the Portuguese world-weariness. It can be combined with "sadness", "sorrow", translated "desire" or "gentle melancholy" comes close. The word stands for the nostalgic feeling of having lost something Beloved, probably realizing that it never comes back. The album is heavily influenced by classics such as Antonio Carlos Jobim, Gal Costa and Luis Bonfá, but also Serge Gainsbourg, Ennio Morricone and modern artists such as the electro-samba pioneer Isabelle Antena. "Saudade" was created by a variety of guest musicians. Each track was sung by a singer who would be there LouLou Ghelichkhani, the newcomer Elin Melgarejo, Nouvelle Vague singer Karina Zeviani, the Argentine chanteuse Natalia Clavier and the former Bitter: Sweet Sing / songwriter Shana Halligan. Other guests included the UNKLE drummer Michael Lowery, the Argentine singer / songwriter Federico Aubele and the master of Brazilian Percussion, Roberto Santos.
